Rule 52.25 Application to supreme court

When the commission decides to ask the Iowa Supreme Court to retire, discipline, or remove a judge (or a court employee), it has to move quickly. It must file all the required documents with the supreme court right away, without unnecessary delay.

These required documents are the same ones listed in rule 52.5(2). This means the commission cannot make its case to the supreme court and then sit on the paperwork. Everything needed to support the request has to go to the court promptly so the case can move forward.
