§ 60-1109 Pro rata distribution.

When money from a sale doesn't cover everyone who is owed a share, the court will divide the money fairly based on how much each person is owed. This is called pro rata distribution.

Here's how it works: if there isn't enough money to pay everyone in full, no one gets left out completely, and no one gets paid first just because they asked first. Instead, the court looks at the total amount owed to all claimants and figures out what percentage of that total each person is owed. Then it applies that same percentage to the actual money available.

For example, if there's only enough money to cover 60% of what's owed overall, each claimant gets 60% of what they were supposed to receive. This keeps things even and stops any one person from getting shortchanged more than others just because of bad luck or timing.
