§ 60-302 Summons; form.

When someone files a lawsuit, the court sends out a document called a summons to notify the other side. This rule explains what that document has to look like to be valid.

The clerk of the court must sign the summons and put the date it was issued on it. The court's official seal also has to be on the document. These three things show that the summons is official and really came from the court.

The summons doesn't have to match a specific form word for word. As long as it's basically similar to the standard form created by the judicial council, it counts as valid. This gives some flexibility so small mistakes or minor differences in wording don't mess up the whole legal process.
