§ 60-4401 Citation of act.

This law is called the "Prevention of Assisted Suicide Act." It covers a group of related sections in Kansas law, numbered 60-4401 through 60-4407. This section simply gives the whole set of laws its official name.

Think of this as the title page for the rest of the act. When you see the name "Prevention of Assisted Suicide Act" used in court papers or legal documents, it's referring to these specific sections of Kansas law. The actual rules about what is or isn't allowed are found in the other sections that follow this one.
