§ 22-2724 Costs and expenses.

When someone requests another state's help to bring a witness or evidence to Kansas for a criminal case, that process costs money. This rule explains how those costs get handled.

Any expenses that come up from this process are treated just like other costs in a criminal case. They get counted and paid the same way as other court costs, following the standard rules already set out in Kansas law for handling criminal case expenses. In short, there's no special or separate system for these costs. They simply get folded into the regular cost process that applies to criminal cases generally.
