Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
This rule lets Kansas work out cost-sharing deals with other states. If someone breaks the rules of their parole, probation, or supervised release in Kansas and ends up in another state, bringing that person back to Kansas can cost money. This rule allows the Kansas secretary of corrections to make agreements with officials in other states so both states split that cost fairly.
Before making these agreements, the secretary of corrections needs sign-off from the secretary of administration. This is mostly a behind-the-scenes administrative rule. It does not change what happens to the person who violated their release terms. It just sets up how Kansas and other states handle the paperwork and expenses of returning that person to Kansas custody.
