If you got a traffic ticket that could lead to your driver's license being suspended or revoked, you cannot attend State Traffic School to handle that ticket. This applies to violations under specific state laws covering highways, motor vehicles, and licensing (KRS Chapters 177, 186, and 189).

The key factor is whether the violation carries a mandatory license suspension or revocation as punishment. If it does, traffic school is not an option for resolving that ticket. You will need to deal with the citation through the regular court process instead.

This rule exists to keep traffic school for less serious offenses. Serious violations that put your driving privileges at risk require a different path through the legal system, not a classroom course.
