XIII, Sec. 14 Expiration of probationary period

Once a participant's probation period ends, specialty court staff can no longer supervise that person. Their authority to check in on someone, monitor their progress, or oversee their case stops at that point.

This means the court has to keep track of when each person's probation is set to end. Staff cannot keep supervising someone just because a case feels unfinished or because they think more time would help. If the probation period is over, the supervision has to stop too, unless a judge extends it through the proper process before the deadline passes.

For someone in a specialty court program, this rule offers a clear endpoint. It means supervision cannot drag on indefinitely without a legal basis. If your probation term has expired, the court no longer has the authority to keep monitoring you under that original order.
