17.02 Married persons

If you're married, you have the same right to sue someone or be sued as any other adult, no matter how old you are. Your marital status doesn't change your legal ability to take part in a lawsuit on your own.

This means you don't need your spouse's permission or involvement to file a case or defend yourself in one. You're treated as a fully independent adult in court, just like anyone else who has reached the legal age of adulthood. Your age at the time of marriage doesn't matter either. Being married is enough to give you this legal standing on your own.
