44.03 Other proof

This rule is short and simple. It says that even though Rule 44 lays out specific ways to prove official records in court, those are not the only ways to do it. If another law allows a different method for proving a record exists (or that something was never entered into a record), that method can still be used.

In practice, this means the rule does not box people into just one path. If you have another legal way to show a record is genuine, or to show that no entry was made in a record, you can use it. This gives people more flexibility when they need to present this kind of evidence in a case.
