4.240 Evidence

When the Judicial Conduct Commission holds a hearing, it can only accept evidence that follows the Kentucky Rules of Evidence. This means the same basic evidence rules used in regular court cases also apply here. Things like hearsay, relevance, and proper documentation still matter in these hearings.

The Chairperson of the Commission is the person in charge of deciding what evidence can come in during the hearing. If there's a dispute about whether something should be allowed as evidence, the Chairperson makes that call. This keeps the hearing organized and makes sure decisions are based on solid, reliable information.
