Art. 1019.2 Service of petition; parent; child

When a case involves a child, the parents must be officially given a copy of the petition (the legal document starting the case) along with a notice explaining what the hearing is about and what rights the parent has. This paperwork has to be sent in a sealed envelope, so it stays private.
