Art. 1410 Violation of rights; reports; reports of abuse or neglect

If a child's rights under Article 1409 are violated, the problem has to be reported to the superintendent right away. Someone has to investigate what happened and write down what they found. That investigation needs to be finished quickly, and the results have to reach the superintendent within 24 hours of the incident being reported.

If the situation involves a child being abused or neglected, it must also be reported separately to a child protection agency. This follows the standard reporting rules already set out in Title VI, Chapter 5 of the Children's Code.

In short, this rule makes sure two things happen fast: any violation of a child's legal rights gets investigated and reported to the person in charge, and any signs of abuse or neglect get reported to the agency that handles those cases.
