Juvenile courts also stay open year round instead of following a fixed schedule of terms like other courts. This means cases involving children can be heard whenever needed, not just during certain months. Judges still get regular vacation time like the law allows, but the court itself keeps running continuously to make sure kids and families don't have to wait for a new court term to get their case heard.
