Art. 416 Service of motion to destroy reports and records

When someone files a motion asking to destroy juvenile reports and records, certain people and offices must be told about it first. This includes the district attorney, the clerk of court that holds the records, and the head of any agency that has copies of those reports.

These people must be officially notified using the same process used to serve a petition. This gives everyone involved a chance to respond before the court decides whether the records can be destroyed.
