Art. 420 Law clerks

Judges in juvenile court can hire a law clerk to help with their work, as long as there's money available to pay for it. The law clerk's main job is to do legal research for the judge who hires them, based on whatever tasks that judge assigns.

The judge who hires the law clerk also decides how much they get paid and approves that payment. This gives each juvenile court judge control over building their own support staff, within their budget.
