Art. 751 Service of petition

If someone files a petition asking the court to order services for a family (like counseling, treatment, or other support programs), everyone affected has to be told about it officially. This means a copy of the petition must be delivered to any family member who the petition says needs these services.

The same rule applies to any public agency or institution named in the petition. If the petition says a specific agency should provide services, that agency must also get a copy so they know they're being asked to step in.

This process makes sure nobody is left in the dark. Families and agencies need to know what's being requested so they can respond, prepare, or take part in the court process if needed.
