Art. 1233 Same; where made

Here's a plain English summary:

This rule says that when someone needs to be personally handed legal papers, the officer delivering them can serve those papers at any location they're legally allowed to be. There's no restriction limiting service to a person's home, workplace, or any other specific place.

In practice, this means you can be served with legal documents almost anywhere, as long as the officer serving you got there through legal means. This could be at your home, your job, a public place, or anywhere else the officer has a lawful right to access. The main limit isn't about location, but about how the officer gets there. They can't trespass or break the law to reach you, but beyond that, the rule gives them flexibility to serve papers wherever they can legally find you.
