Art. 3158 Oath of succession representative

Before someone can start acting as a succession representative, they have to take an oath first. This means promising to do the job honestly and correctly before they handle any of the estate's business.

A succession representative is the person in charge of managing someone's estate after they die. This could be an executor named in a will or an administrator appointed by the court.
