If you want to split up property that belongs to someone's estate after they pass away, you need to file that request as part of the ongoing succession case, not as a separate lawsuit. This keeps everything related to settling the estate in one place.

Beyond where to file, the actual steps for dividing up the estate's property follow the same rules used for regular property partition cases (found in Articles 4601 through 4614). So while the paperwork starts in the succession case, the process of figuring out who gets what follows the standard partition procedure, unless something about those rules just doesn't fit the situation.
