Art. 895.3 Probationer transferred between states; fees

If someone is on probation in Louisiana but moves to another state and gets supervised there instead (through an official interstate agreement), Louisiana stops charging them the regular supervision fee. This fee normally has to be paid as part of probation, but once the other state takes over watching the person, Louisiana pauses that fee requirement.

Basically, this rule prevents someone from being charged a supervision fee by Louisiana while another state is actually doing the work of supervising them. The fee only starts up again if the person returns to Louisiana's supervision.
