Art. 930.9 Attendance by the petitioner

If you're in prison and you've filed for post-conviction relief, you don't have to be physically brought to court for the hearing. You can take part through a video call or similar remote technology instead.

This means the court can let you appear on screen from where you're being held, rather than arranging transportation to the courthouse. It's a way to let you participate in your case while cutting down on the time, cost, and security concerns of moving someone in custody back and forth to court.
