Art. 949 Court costs and fees

When a court has to move its operations to another location because of an emergency, this rule makes sure the money side of things stays the same. Court costs, fees, and fines are still charged, collected, and handled just like they were before the court had to relocate.

The same amounts get charged, and the money still goes to the same places it always did. Moving to a temporary location for emergency sessions does not change who collects the money or where it ends up.

This rule basically keeps things simple and consistent during a disruption. Even if a court has to operate out of a different building or a different jurisdiction because of a disaster or other emergency, people still pay the same fees and fines they would have paid otherwise, and that money still goes where it is supposed to go.
