Rule 40.0 General Applicability of Louisiana Children's Code

Juvenile cases in Louisiana district courts follow the Louisiana Children's Code. This means that when a case involves a child, whether it's about delinquency, abuse, neglect, or another family matter covered by the code, the rules laid out in the Children's Code are what apply.
