Rule 3.617 Delayed Registration of Birth

When someone goes to court to get a late birth certificate, all the paperwork from that case is kept private. The public cannot see any of it.

Only the child and their legal parent or parents can look at these records. No one else can find out what is in the file, or even whether a file exists at all, unless a judge specifically orders otherwise.
