When someone wants to appeal a case to the circuit court in Michigan, these rules explain how that process works. They cover the steps and procedures people need to follow when bringing an appeal to this level of court.

These rules only deal with how appeals are handled, not whether the court has the power to hear a case. The court's authority to accept or reject an appeal comes from other laws, not from these rules.
