Rule 7.112 Miscellaneous Relief

The circuit court has the power to do more than just review a case on appeal. It can also grant special types of relief, similar to what a higher court of appeals can do.

To find out exactly what kinds of relief are available, you would look at MCR 7.216, which lists those specific options. If you are involved in an appeal at the circuit court level, that rule explains additional ways the court might be able to help you beyond simply deciding whether the lower court was right or wrong.
