Rule XIV Effective Date

These rules for becoming a lawyer in Mississippi first started on November 1, 1979. Since then, the rules have been updated several times, with the most recent changes taking effect on May 30, 2019.

This means anyone looking at these rules is reading the version that includes all updates made between 1979 and 2019. If you're checking on requirements to join the Mississippi Bar, you're looking at the most current standards as of that 2019 update.
