Rule 3.08 Duty of Bailiff

The bailiff has an important job during a trial. Every time the jury walks in or out of the courtroom, the bailiff walks with them. This happens throughout the whole trial, and it continues even after the jury gives its final verdict.

There's also a rule for everyone else in the courtroom. When the jury is entering or leaving, all lawyers, the people involved in the case, and anyone watching from the audience must stay seated. Nobody should be standing or moving around while the jury walks through the room.

This rule exists to show respect for the jury and to keep things orderly. It also helps protect the jury from any outside contact or distractions as they move in and out of the courtroom.
