Rule 4.05 Interlocutory Appeal from County Court

If a county court judge makes a ruling before the case is fully decided, and someone wants to challenge that ruling right away instead of waiting for the case to end, they can ask the Supreme Court to step in. This is called an interlocutory appeal.

To do this, the person has to follow the process laid out in Rule 5 of the Mississippi Rules of Appellate Procedure. That rule explains how to ask the Supreme Court for permission to hear the appeal early, what to include in the request, and the timeline for filing it.
