Rule 7.11 Committees and Sections

The President of the Missouri Bar can create committees, but only with the Board of Governors' approval. These committees can only use the powers that the Board of Governors gives them. This keeps a system of checks in place, so no single person can hand out authority on their own.

The Board of Governors also has the power to set up sections within the Missouri Bar. These sections likely focus on specific areas of law or interest groups within the legal community. This structure lets the bar organize its work and members into smaller, more focused groups while keeping the Board of Governors in charge of approving how the organization is built.
