Rule 19.08 Infractions - Procedure

When someone is charged with an infraction, the court handles the case the same way it would handle a misdemeanor case. There isn't a separate or different set of steps just because the charge is an infraction instead of a misdemeanor.

This means the same rules apply for things like how the charge gets filed, what notice the person receives, how the court process moves forward, and how the case gets resolved.
