Rule 130.02 Authority for Rule

This rule explains where the court gets its power to create these juvenile and family court rules. The Missouri Supreme Court has the authority under the state constitution to set rules for how courts operate.

Because of this authority, these rules take priority over any state law or older court rule that conflicts with them. If there's a disagreement between this rule and something else, this rule wins.
