Rule 144.04 Trial - To be Without Jury - No Change of Venue

If your case is in small claims court, a judge will decide the outcome. There is no jury involved, so you won't be presenting your case to a group of jurors like you might in other types of court cases.

You also can't ask to move your case to a different court location. Once your case is filed in small claims court, it stays there. This means you'll need to be ready to present your case in the court where it was originally filed.
