Rule 147.02 Aid to Judgment Creditors

If you win a small claims case, you become the "judgment creditor," and the person who owes you money is the "judgment debtor." Winning the case is only the first step. You still may need to take extra legal steps to actually collect the money, especially if the other person doesn't pay on their own.

This rule says the court clerk has to help you fill out the paperwork needed to collect your judgment. You don't need a lawyer to figure out the right forms on your own. The clerk's office can walk you through what's needed, whether that means garnishing wages, going after a bank account, or using another legal tool to get paid.
