Section 7 Study committees on rules

The chief justice of Nevada's Supreme Court has the power to set up study groups to look into how attorney discipline rules are working. He can pick individuals, committees, or other groups to take on this job, and he has wide freedom to decide who is best suited for the task.

Once a study group is formed, it gets to decide how to do its work. It can hold hearings where people share their views, or it can gather feedback in other ways. The rule doesn't lock the group into one specific process, so it has flexibility to look into rule questions in whatever way makes the most sense for the issue at hand.

For regular people, this rule mostly works behind the scenes. It doesn't affect how a specific discipline case is handled. Instead, it sets up a way for the court system to review and improve the rules that govern how lawyers get investigated and disciplined.
