Section 9 Reconsideration of administrative rule does not act as stay

If someone asks the court to reconsider an administrative rule about attorney discipline, that request goes through the same process as a formal petition, as described in Section 4 of these rules.

Asking for reconsideration does not automatically pause or stop the rule from taking effect. The rule or order stays in place unless the Nevada Supreme Court specifically decides to pause it. If the court does agree to pause the rule, it can set whatever conditions it thinks are fair or necessary while the pause is in place.
