Rule Text

These rules may be cited as NRCP.

Amendment history: [Amended; effective March 1, 2019.]

Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)

This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.

These rules are officially called the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure, and you can refer to them for short as "NRCP." That's the abbreviation you'll see used in court documents, legal briefs, and case filings when someone points to one of these rules.

This is simply a naming rule. It does not create any legal requirements or affect how a case is handled. It just tells you what short name to use when citing one of these civil procedure rules.
