Rule 6 Deposits; Failure to Pay

If you're part of a foreclosure mediation and you don't pay the required fees, the mediation can be stopped. The other side (the party who did pay) can then ask for a ruling in their favor.

This rule basically means both sides have to pay their share of the mediation costs for the process to continue. If one side skips out on paying, they risk losing their chance to work things out through mediation. The person who paid their fees on time can ask the court to grant them whatever outcome makes sense given the other side's failure to pay.
