Rule 22 Size of jury

Here's a plain English summary of this rule:

If you're going through a short trial in Nevada, you and the other side can agree to have a jury of four or six people. This means both parties need to work together and settle on a number that works for the case.

If you want a bigger jury of eight people, you can ask the judge for one. But you'll need to give the judge a good reason why your case needs more jurors than usual.

If you and the other side can't agree on a jury size at all, the court will automatically default to a jury of four people. So agreeing on this ahead of time gives you more control over the outcome, otherwise the smallest option kicks in by default.
