Rule 6 Filing and service of documents

Documents in a short trial case must be filed and served the same way they are in regular civil cases under the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure. There's no special process for short trial cases unless a specific short trial rule says otherwise.

After the trial ends, the short trial judge is responsible for filing everything with the district court clerk. This includes all documents from the case, the jury instructions that were used, and any evidence that was presented at trial. This step makes sure the official court record is complete and kept on file with the court.
