Rule 2:1 Scope

These rules explain how to handle cases in New Jersey's two highest courts: the Supreme Court and the Appellate Division. Both courts are where people go when they want to appeal a lower court's decision.

The rules in this section apply to both courts unless a specific rule says otherwise.
