Rule 2:15-24 Disqualification of Judge

A complaint or allegation filed against a judge does not automatically force that judge to step aside from your case.

If you have filed a grievance against a judge who is also handling your case, that judge can still continue to hear your matter. The fact that you complained about the judge is not enough on its own to remove them from the case.
