Rule 4:7-6 Additional Parties May Be Brought In

When someone files a counterclaim or cross-claim in a lawsuit, they can bring in new people who were not part of the original case. This allows the case to include everyone who might be involved in the dispute.

The rules for adding these new parties follow the same guidelines found in Rules 4:28 and 4:29, which cover when and how new people can be joined to a lawsuit. Those rules set the conditions that must be met before a new person can be pulled into the case.
