Rule 4:83-3 Title of Action

When you file paperwork for certain court cases, like proving a will is valid, setting up an estate, or getting guardianship of a child or someone who cannot care for themselves, every document needs a specific title at the top.

The title format depends on the type of case. For a deceased person's estate, the title should read "In the Matter of the Estate of [Name], Deceased." For a minor child, it should read "In the Matter of [Name], a Minor." Similar cases follow the same pattern.
