Rule 5:19-3 Individual Hearings

When multiple young people are involved in the same incident, each one still gets their own separate court hearing. The judge looks at each juvenile's case on its own.

This matters because what happens to one juvenile in the group does not decide what happens to another. Each young person has the right to have their own situation considered individually.
