Rule 1:2-6 Case Management Conference; Orders

When a judge holds a case management conference, anything decided at that meeting must be written down in a formal court order.

This matters because it creates an official record of what the judge decided. Both sides in the case are then bound by whatever was agreed to or directed at that conference.
