§ 1240.5 Committee Counsel and Staff

Each region of New York's Appellate Division gets to hire its own staff to handle attorney discipline cases. This includes a chief attorney and any other employees needed to do the work. The court in each region decides how many people to hire and what roles they need to fill.

This rule basically gives each Department the freedom to build a team that fits its workload. There's no set number of staff or specific job titles required. Instead, each Department figures out what it needs on its own and hires accordingly.
