When a case in Surrogate's Court needs a jury, the court doesn't pull jurors from its own separate pool. Instead, it uses jurors who are already at the courthouse waiting to serve on cases in the supreme court or county court of that same county.

This means the jury selection process shares resources with other courts in the area. If you're involved in a case that requires a jury in Surrogate's Court, the people who end up on your jury will come from the same group of citizens called in for jury duty at the bigger trial courts nearby.
