§ 713 Hearing; decree

When someone in charge of an estate (like an executor or administrator) is accused of not doing their job properly, the court holds a hearing to look into it. After hearing the case, the judge has several options for what to do next.

The judge can suspend the person's authority for a while, change the terms of their appointment, or remove them from the job completely. On the other hand, if the judge decides the complaints don't hold up, the case can be dismissed. When dismissing the case, the judge can set whatever conditions are fair given the situation.

This rule basically gives the court flexibility. Instead of only having an all-or-nothing choice between keeping someone in charge or firing them, the judge can pick a middle ground if that makes more sense, like limiting what the person can do or putting them on a kind of probation while still overseeing the estate.
